KR Scholars

KR Scholars is a nonprofit organization based in Richmond, Virginia, founded in 2020 to support Historically Black College and University students through scholarships and comprehensive programming. Beyond financial assistance, the organization provides college readiness, financial literacy, workforce development, and mentorship through initiatives such as the HBCU Bridge Program. With a mission to empower student success beyond graduation, KR Scholars invests in both access and long-term achievement for current and future HBCU scholars.

To prepare for Giving Tuesday, KR Scholars sought a cohesive campaign that would elevate scholar voices, strengthen brand identity, and inspire donor action during one of the most competitive philanthropic seasons. The design team conducted a full audit and developed a structured four-week social media strategy built around storytelling, measurable impact, and clear calls to action. The campaign emphasized scholar testimonials, HBCU pride and legacy, mentorship impact, partnership recognition, and transparent giving tiers to help donors understand exactly how their contributions support students.

The final deliverables included a complete four-week Giving Tuesday content calendar from November 4 through December 2, a suite of branded social media templates in Canva, countdown graphics, impact carousels, donor recognition posts, and final push materials for Giving Tuesday itself. Each post combined bold campaign visuals with authentic student stories and measurable outcomes to build momentum and drive engagement. With this campaign system in place, KR Scholars is equipped with a unified, professional Giving Tuesday presence that amplifies scholar impact, strengthens donor confidence, and fuels continued growth for HBCU students nationwide.
