Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence

The Los Angeles Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit order of queer drag nuns devoted to spreading joy, promoting inclusion, and supporting marginalized communities across Southern California. Entirely volunteer-run, the Sisters use performance, visibility, and fundraising to uplift LGBTQIA+, trans, BIPOC, youth, and unhoused communities. Guided by their mission to “expiate stigmatic guilt and promulgate universal joy,” they amplify smaller underfunded charities through creative events that transform celebration into direct community aid.

To strengthen their digital presence, the design team conducted a comprehensive social media audit and developed a structured strategy centered on joyful service, community impact, and authentic storytelling. The project addressed challenges including inconsistent branding, limited engagement, and the absence of a cohesive posting system. A new content framework was created to unify tone, visual identity, and messaging while embedding justice and inclusion across all categories rather than isolating them as separate topics.

Final deliverables included a three-month social media calendar for January, February, and March 2026; branded Canva templates; updated visual guidelines including color palette and typography; reusable event and partner spotlight layouts; and a Social Media Toolkit designed for rotating volunteers. The system emphasizes joyful storytelling, clear event promotion, volunteer recognition, partner highlights, and accessible design standards. With this foundation in place, the Sisters are equipped with a cohesive and sustainable social media presence that amplifies queer joy, strengthens community partnerships, and increases visibility for the causes they champion.
